North Carolina legislation on 911 surcharges
Jim Soukup mentioned this on the 911 Talk mailing list. His comment: "The telephone companies have convinced a legislator to file a bill that is asking to remove 9-1-1 surcharge revenue from their telephone bills and for local governments to enact their own 9-1-1 special use tax.
